Here is your chance to own a rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition; the world’s fastest roadster can be yours for an eye-watering £1,795,000 or a tad under £2 million.
For that you get an 8.0-Litre, 1184bhp, quad turbocharged car which hit 254.04mph in April 2013, a power-to-weight ratio, according to Volkswagen Group's figures, of 530 PS (390 kW; 523 bhp) per ton. Now that production of the Bugatti Veyron has ceased, this is a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable cars ever made.
Of the 450 Veyrons made, there were only 150 roadsters ever produced and of those, only eight were world record editions, making this car a truly rare phenomenon. This particular version is a UK car, and was originally registered in October 2013. One one owner has ever had the pleasure of owning this car and covered just 1130 miles.
However, before you decide to splash you cash, you must know that it does cost a pretty penny to run the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, although if you can afford the price tag, you probably aren't worried about running costs. A new set of specially made Michelin PAX run-flat tyres cost £24,000 and have to replaced every 6000 miles. Due to the wear and tear caused by removing and refitting tyres, the wheels have to be replaced at the third time of asking at a cost of £28,000.
If you plan to drive the car flat out (on a track or more likely an airfield) you’ll be refilling every 12 minutes. Booking the car in for service will save you money in the long run; however it will set you back as much £100,000, every single time, according to AutoCar.
The eye-catching black (actually its carbon fibre) and orange car is currently available for viewing at the Jack Barclay Bugatti dealership in Berkeley Square, which is the only official UK dealer for Bugatti sales and servicing.
The Veyron remains the most exclusive Bugatti ever made, until the release of the Chiron later this year. When the Chiron goes on sale, it will only be available in the UK at H.R. Owen’s London showroom.
