Motor fans to get glimpse of new Ford GT

It’s one of the most desirable sports cars on the planet and now customers at Lookers Ford have the chance to see it for themselves.

The Ford GT is about to begin a tour of Lookers Ford dealerships across the UK, with the first stops being Lookers Ford in Leeds and Lookers Ford Sheffield.

The car will be on show at the Leeds York Road dealership this weekend and will arrive on 4pm on Saturday 23 rd June before departing at 4pm on Sunday 24th.

It will then visit Lookers Ford Sheffield between 4pm on Friday 29th June and 1pm on Sunday 1 st July.

All car enthusiasts are welcome, as well as those just interested in seeing a car that has been praised by a host of journalists and celebrities, including Matt LeBlanc who test drove it on Top Gear, as well as one which won its class at LeMans in 2016 and came second last year.

From its aerodynamically optimised shape to its extraordinary 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, everything about the Ford GT is designed to deliver pure performance.

Another highlight is the car’s dramatic air ducts that gape either side of the driver’s cabin, channelling air through the body and releasing it alongside the huge double exhaust in the centre of the rear.

With only 250 units produced per year, the GT has become highly desirable among the rich and famous, with actor Tim Allen and American talk show legend Jay Leno among the proud owners.

Interested parties must go through a vigorous application process, with vehicles produced in 2017 and 2018 reserved for selected GT buyers; those in 2019 reserved for buyers passed over in the initial selection process, and 2020's alotment for new customers.

After wowing fans in Leeds and Sheffield, the car will be visiting Lookers Ford Colchester between 4 th and 6th July and Lookers Ford Chelmsford between the 6 th and 9th July.
