Like the jaguar dealer in Southend the service is abysmal. A 24,000 mile E pace that is now on its 3rd dpf, the last 2 supplied and fitted by them now has another failure. Lookers refuse to look at it unless we pay £262 for a diagnostic check despite not only having had it checked but also the dpf checked and a crack being confirmed. No wonder jaguar is in decline if this is their idea of customer service.
Visited the dealership after viewing several used cars on the Jaguar website. My first visit was to the old showroom on Duke Road, Park Royal (prior to relocation). There were not enough staff available to assist me, and I was asked to email to arrange a test drive. I sent the email but received no response. A few weeks later, I visited the new showroom to inquire if the cars I had seen were still available and to arrange a test drive. One vehicle was not available at the showroom, and I was refused a test drive for the other. I left my contact details for a follow-up, but no one reached out until a week later. When they did call, the call was cut off due to phone issues, and I have not heard back since. Overall, I found the service unresponsive and unprofessional. Communication was poor, follow-up was lacking, and my interactions left me with the impression that customer care and sales effort were not priorities. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to Lookers Park Royal.
Second service here on my XF. Must say that the booking process was very easy and on this occasion I waited for the vehicle. All run smoothly and was told I had an oil leak and they would charge £250 to diagnose were it is coming from. Not an issue I have a separate insurance so went away got it authorised and following day emailed my advisor ( no reply) emailed again and same again / third time to book it in absolutely nothing. Decided to email the service department to book and auto reply stating they will be in contact then still nothing. Have since gone elsewhere and cannot believe they do not want the business. Badly run business and a bad reflection on the Jaguar brand. Did put negative previous time due to overselling of made up faults but omplete opposite this time. Avoid if you can 👎
Hi, I give only âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ as a overall experience as i wasn't happy with some encounters & experience's I had faced during the time my car was in (Lookers) chelmsford this was due to one staff member not understanding my frustrations but more worried about going home than customer care & receiving my car dirty & half my key thobb missing after an engine rebuild! BUT I give âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ to one guy JOE MITCHELL I wouldn't have got through this Terrible Journey regarding my 'Jaguar F Pace' bought from (Marshalls brain tree) With out Joe's proffesional manner,persistence,compassion,understanding & hard work. I would have cracked! I wasn't the easiest customer I moaned,nagged & worried constantly, i bombarded Joe loads of emails all the time due to my past experience with (Marshall) being ignored. Joe took it all like a champ ! He was calm, honest & transparent with me all the time, I trusted he would get the job done and he did! The dirty car and half key thobb was rectified next time I picked my car up after engine rebuild & I was even given a gift to say sorry 🎠THANK YOU JOE MITCHELL 👠True asset to the company!! Always welcoming, nice accommodating environment. I went in with a car in mind, and they were able to deliver the spec I want and went for the F-Pace. So thank you Jaguar especially Jawad who was on the sales team. Very happy owner
Post sale support is non-existent. I'm not hearing back and I'm having to chase the team there for any kind of information. We bought our car in April. It's now been 3 months and we have not yet received our V5C! Delay caused because the previous owner had a private plate. An issue which any other dealer would be able to handle in, at most, a week. They don't bother to send holding emails, check in with any updates or make any effort to reach out and reassure us of the situation. Embarrassing for them.
Whilst the service on my Jaguar was well done, there were three key issues: no price for my service was confirmed when the online service booking was made despite my requests, or any time after, until it was too late, and this is an issue I am reporting to Trading Standards. Second, when a figure was mentioned to me for the service when I delivered the vehicle, I showed my irritation at the level and, within seconds, a figure more than £100 lower was offered, suggesting a 'flexible' approach to pricing, which is bad practice. Finally, my vehicle was incorrectly checked in by a trainee, and this only came to light when I made inquiries, so that the vehicle was delivered back to me a day late. I did received some compensation for this when I complained. In my view these points highlight a lack of transparency and effective management, even though the staff on the whole are friendly and seem keen to help when an issue is pointed out. Much room for improvement in training, leadership and management systems, and my comments are being prepared for Trading Standards about lack of pricing clarity and fairness.
