A very disappointing experience. Car went into service yesterday. Came back with squeaking breaks (clearly not checked), software not updated and a gearbox fault (i.e. car doesn’t start) that has never been an issue before. Called today to get it resolved. Most unhelpful response: “Not our fault, book in another service, next available slot is in 4-6 weeks.†An unacceptable and an unprofessional response.
Where do I start? Phones must be inbound only as out of the 60 phone calls made over a near 3 month period not one call was returned. Nearly 3 months to replace an exhaust sensor and heated seat element. Left a commercial Defender towing vehicle in and as a courtesy car was given a 2.0 family Discovery Sport with no towing capacity, leaving us hiring vehicles elsewhere to do work. I find it hard to believe out of the entire JLR assist fleet not one had a tow bar capable of towing 3.5t. To make matters worse on collection an intake pipe wasn't fitted correctly, hadn't even left the carpark and it was in limp mode, had to return for it to be fixed. Zero compassion from both CH and JLR UK, no empathy or apologies for the exceptionally low levels of customer service. Save your money on the extended warranty!

Disappointingly Land Rover - Battersea where I purchased my car closed a few months ago which is a real shame.....what is London coming to when everything is closing down!!! Anyway I was transferred to Land Rover - West London where the team were welcoming. Handed over my keys for a service. I was offered a private meeting room plus unlimited coffee where I could work which was very thoughtful and very appreciated. 3 hours later service completed, car washed and was on my way home. Thank you Team!!
My Defender was left in for a 2 year service and warranty work to the trim around my front mud flaps. My service was carried out at 17303 miles. Today the mileage is 17347. It was only today when getting ready for along trip I checked the oil. which is quite black. I checked the invoice and it has been changed. When checking the bill I noted screen wash at 8.73 plus VAT. I'd filled my water bottle a few days before. There's no screen wash in it! You also charged me for a new battery in my key that I had replaced a few weeks earlier. These are minor things I know. However the car had been booked in for 2 days to sort out the service and trim as the customer service manger and worship manger were very helpful and agreed it didn't look right. I was delighted when by lunchtime on the day I left it in I had a phone call to say the service was completed. I asked about trim and the guy said the workshop would look at it. I picked the car up at 4pm, they said they tried to fit a clip, however a week later the gaps are as bad and the trim is loose. I only done 40 miles since the service.
