70 Years of Ferrari Celebrated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

An important date on any motoring enthusiast’s calendar, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event that certainly gets hearts racing.

But this wasn’t just any motoring show for Ferrari, this was a special anniversary – their 70th! So what better way to celebrate than to rally up 70 of the most monumental, iconic and championship-winning Ferrari cars for a special parade around Goodwood.

The first Ferrari to lead the momentous procession was the 1947 Ferrari 125 S, which was also the first to be graced with the historic manufacturer’s badge. Alongside, rode Maranello’s most recent model, the very limited edition LaFerrari Aperta, which was also crowned the star of the company’s anniversary celebrations. 

It wasn’t just the cars that were legendary, the drivers on the day shared the same status, such as motorsport stars Derek Bell, Jackie Stewart, Dario Franchitti, as well as Marc Gene (Scuderia Ferrari F1), Alessandro Pier Guildi (FIA World Endurance), Davide Rigion and Olivier Beretta (Ferrari  GT).

The fun does not end at the Festival of Speed though, as the LaFerrari Aperta makes its way around the country for the official Ferrari World Tour, ending with very own Charles Hurst in Belfast.
