I recently visited this Audi dealership and had a very positive experience. The staff member who showed me the cars and explained everything was extremely professional, kind, and polite. He took the time to answer all of my questions clearly and patiently, and explained the details of the vehicles in a way that was easy to understand. There was no pressure at any point, and I really appreciated being able to look around and learn more in a relaxed and respectful environment. I genuinely enjoyed the visit and would like to personally thank him for his professionalism and excellent attitude. It made the experience both informative and enjoyable.
Poor experience with service & sales. I was promised a call back as my servicing was overdue in May time, having called on the Friday and promised a call back on the following Tuesdsay - this never came which effectively led to a delay and me almost losing the warranty on my car. I was told a manager would be in touch after I complained but nothing ever came of it. They only booked it in after I complained and found some mysterious slot they didn't have before, which would support my theory of it being rushed/not done, but this was done by the receptionists. Didn't get a managers response as I'd asked. When I came in for that service in June for my KIA, it failed its MOT a few months later because for some reason they had unplugged the fog lights from the main electrical fuse board. The lookers manager gave me an excuse that Halfords and incentivised to fail MOT because they get bonuses. However, I sat in the viewing area and watched them put the car up and test the lights and could see them keep switching them on/off to try and rectify the issue. Halfords were going to charge me £190+ for replacement bulbs until they realised they weren't actually plugged in to the electrics. As both were out and it was a relatively new car with low milage they suspected something was off, which was why they checked. I believe my service either wasn't done or it was rushed which led to this issue, or them not picking it up (light should be checked on a service and they confirmed this). It's madness that you pay for KIA servicing and effectively drive away unsafe. It's extremely unprofessional for them to take no accountability and slander another business in the process and blame them instead. I do have evidence of this as well. I complained about the servicing experience again with the new service manager - and again was promised a call back, but didn't hear anything until I came in to report another issue. The manager apologised again for not calling me back, it was over 2 weeks at this point. So that was twice they effectively failed to handle my complaint and call me back. I demanded they carry out a new service on my car for free as I believed it had not been done correctly (possibly at all). The manager when I finally did speak to him offered me one half price service, which I got given on my new car - not really fair when you've already paid for several and the last one wasn't done correctly. They never wish your car during the service either, which they say they are. However, that car was written of by my insurance. I then bought a car directly from this dealership. Andrew was pretty great (in his defence) in terms of his professionalism and swift responses. He was honestly great to deal with on the day of purchase. However, for some reason the standard of the car at pick up was ridiculous. They hadn't even bothered hoovering it. Not what you expect when you pay £15,000 in cash for a car with 1k miles on it. I've bought a used (older) car from another KIA branch and they gave me the car fully valeted and clean. It has debris/food all around the AMT gearbox and the floor. The side panels were filthy and needed all wiped/cleaned. I spent a good hour in the next morning sorting it all. Today, I got a tyre pressure warning light on my new car that I've just bought days ago. The tyre presses was -7PSI on every single tyre meaning they haven't even bothered checking the tyre pressure before selling the car. It really worries me if they bothered doing any checks at all and if you are reading this as a buyer I'd stay well clear. This branch is moving to Gateshead and I suspect they aren't bothered about the service they are giving to new customers buying or servicing their cars. Even my new car has a service stamp, but the receptionist couldn't find it in their system? Was that even done? or was it a formality just to sell me the car with warranty? I have sent lookers a direct complaint this evening and will update my review with their response (if I even get one).
Super impressed with this place. Took my car in, made a claim for a corroded rear sub frame and fitted a new one all in a couple of days... just before xmas. All very efficient and easy!
