The heart of any S model is the engine, and the SQ2 is equipped with a blistering 300 PS TFSI engine that allows it to sprint from 0 to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 155mph. The maximum torque of 400Nm is available from just 2,000rpm right through to 5,200rpm. This is combined with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive to combine high traction and great handling. The S sport suspension in the Audi SQ2 means that the body is 20mm lower than the Q2 while progressive ensures that the car has a sporty driving feel.
To set it apart from its siblings, the Audi SQ2 features eight upright double bars which divide the octagonal single-frame grille. A front splitter joins the outer edges of the air inlets to emphasise the full width of the front end. The look is finished off with LED headlights and LED rear lights with dynamic turn signals.
Inside, the driver will find a wide range of features as standard housed in a spacious cabin. Automatic air conditioning, a sport multifunction steering wheel and a driver information system with colour display are just the start. There is a range of infotainment options available including MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and Audi Virtual Cockpit.
As standard, the SQ2 also comes with driver assistance systems such as Audi pre-sense front while you can also choose to add features like adaptive cruise control with stop and go function or park assist.
