Electric Estate cars offer low running costs and lots of luggage space. The elongated rear end provides additional interior space and a larger than average boot, making them both practical and comfortable. Given the low running costs of electric cars, it’s easy to understand why an all-electric estate car may sound like the perfect family car or general workhorse.

Below are our top five picks of Electric Estate cars.

The Audi e-tron Estate is an upmarket electric car that blends plenty of high-tech features and bags of practicality. The e-tron comes with either a 71kwh or 95kwh lithium-ion battery which gives the car a range of 188 miles or 248 miles respectively.

The e-tron can be charged in 9 hours using a 11kW home wallbox, but if you find a rapid 150 kW fast-charger you can charge your battery from 0-80% in just under 30 minutes.

The Audi e-tron has plenty of boot space to complement its spacious cabin. You’ll also find a ‘frunk’ under the bonnet which is ideal for storing your charging cable.

Find your next electric car with Lookers

Electric cars are getting better, and more affordable each year. Concerns about performance, particularly range, are a thing of the past. There are now over 49,000 charge points in over 18,000 locations in the UK, compared to just over 8,000 petrol stations in the UK. You’re more likely to find a charge point than a petrol pump. On top of this, when you realise how much cheaper electric vehicles are to run, the choice is clear. There’s never been a better time to go electric and take advantage of all that support.

Here at Lookers we’re helping UK drivers prepare for the future by connecting them with new and used electric vehicles that they’ll love. Learn more about electric cars in our electric FAQs or review our helpful electric car buying guide to help make the switch a little bit easier.
