Dealership sounds like it’s run by kids. Terrible customer care. Don’t call you back or update you , and then they just sell the car. Oh and they won’t accept your own finance company as they want you to pay their ridiculous 13% - avoid like the plague.

The experience we had with Lookers Land Rover Colchester was excellent from the moment we visited the showroom to view a used Range Rover Evoque. No pushy salesman trying to force us into a decision about buying the car, Toby was great with us from start to finish and he explained all the details. When we collected the car the following week again Toby was extremely helpful in showing us the functions of the Range Rover as these were completely new to us both. I would like to personally thank Toby for his help to us in making the purchase very easy without any fuss or bother.

This review is true and reflective to the service department of this business and no other areas. 6 weeks of deception and misleading courses of action. 1. 3rd of June diagnosis for repair ( RCM required) 2. Told 10day turn around for collection, 3 Told mechanic working on my car had left and would be another week 4 Told mechanic who had left has now returned and car would be ready June 26th 5. Received a call on the 25th June, telling me that I need to pay an extra £1300 for a BCM and new battery( this was over 3 weeks from initial diagnosis, that was just RCM part) 6. June 26th I had to take spare key to JLR Belfast, expecting to collect as arranged, the car was not ready and I was told another week to 10 days 7. June 29th I was contacted by JLR Belfast asking me if my car was driving ok. ( my car was still with them getting repaired) 8. The 9th of July my car was ready( this is where it gets interesting) 9. Firstly the bill! The amount to be paid was £1498. My invoice only showed the RCM at cost. The was no break down of labour, diagnostics and where was this BCM part and new battery that I had to wait an extra 10days. On top of that if my payment was £1498 why is the invoice only showing payment of £499.87? Do these accounts not get audited? 10. The final insult was getting a dirty car back on collection day with a complementary used vape on the passenger seat( not nice) 11. Please also be aware of using lookers to make a complaint, JLR Belfast ignore the main office in south shields. I made a complaint on the 30th June and despite Lookers emailing them even as late as last Friday, they have not responded, almost 2 months. 12. My advice to anyone reading my review is to source a local specialist mechanic if you own a jaguar or LR. The Director of business needs to be held to account

Reasonable sales experience (premium cars - expected). A near-zero response to any type of aftersales care. Totally fine to buy from here as long as your car never needs any kind of support or maintenance thereafter. My experience has been 18 months of promises and then ghosting, a chief technician just waiting to retire who couldn't even be bothered to connect the diagnostic tool, and a huge turnover of staff who didn't want to lower themselves to such a level. I was sold a defective car and am now going through the Financial Ombudsman to correct. Buy from here only if your idea of a premium service is disappointment, zero comms and contempt for your custom.
