The Mercedes-AMG G63 is available in three variants; the G63, Mercedes-AMG EDITION 463 and Mercedes-AMG G63 Colour Edition. All variants use the same 5.5 litre V8 engine, producing 571 horsepower and propelling the vehicle to 62mph in 5.4 seconds.
AMG designed wheel arch extensions and an aggressive front apron, with larger vents for extra cooling, are the main components of the exterior styling. Running boards and a chrome/body coloured rear mounted spare wheel cover form the ‘Exterior styling package’, standard equipment on the G63 that adds to its rugged character.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is offered in 26 different colours with non-metallic, metallic and matt finishes. Standard upholstery in the G63 is designo leather; including classic red, sand, black and porcelain, while the EDITION 463 features two-tone perforated designo leather.
The G63 Colour Edition showcases five new colours, exclusive to this model; Galactic Beam, Sunset Beam, Solar Beam, Alien Green and Tomato Red. The vibrant theme continues on the interior with black Nappa leather contrasted by body-colour stitching.
Standard features include practical equipment such as sequentially lockable differentials, to aid off-road traction, bi-xenon headlights, plus luxury equipment such as Harman Kardon surround sound and electrically adjustable front seats.
To actively prevent an incident on the road, the SUV is built with an Electronic Stability Programme, ABS and skid controls. Window airbags offer added protection at the sides of the vehicle, and ISOFIX child seat fixing points in the rear keep younger passengers secure.
