The two-seater is characterised by hallmark rear-wheel-drive proportions. The V8 biturbo front mid-engine ensures optimum weight distribution, which forms the basis for superb driving dynamics. The long hood with its pronounced powerdomes, the greenhouse, which has been moved far back, the large wheels and broad tail end, make up the distinctive looks. The large tailgate conceals a practical luggage compartment.
Interior
Radically low, sporty proportions create a unique sense of spaciousness.The cockpit is dominated by a large instrument cluster, eye-catching air-conditioning vents and gently rising centre console with control elements in V8 style. The standard AMG sport seats feature integral head restraints, supportive contours and AMG badging. The optional AMG Performance seats are more strongly contoured and feature adjustable side bolsters for even greater lateral support.The upholstery stitching also matches the AMG Solarbeam exterior colour, another added touch to the detail in the Mercedes-AMG S.
Performance
The already outstanding performance of the Mercedes-AMG GT is boosted still further in the Mercedes-AMG GT S. The car impresses with its clearly enhanced potential. Brutal, when the V8 biturbo starts up with its output of 384 kW (522 hp) and torque of 670 Nm. Thrilling, when the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sport transmission translates the power into acceleration. Magnificent, when the switchable AMG Performance exhaust system gives off its sound.
