Exterior features
The car’s classic coupé style creates an instant impression of premium quality, which can be accentuated by an AMG bodykit at the bumpers and side skirts. It stands poised on 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, and features LED headlights with the Intelligent Light System. The twin exhaust pipes have been built into the rear bumper to maintain the car's streamlining from nose to tail.
Interior features
With a multifunction steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather and contrast-stitched, plus heated front sports seats, the interior of the CLS Coupé feels sporty and immersive. The black leather upholstery is matched by black ash wood trims for a darker finish.
The AMG Line and the 400 AMG Line versions of the car are influenced by high-performance sports cars. Performance and efficiency
A petrol engine and two diesel alternatives are available with the CLS Coupé – all of which are turbocharged. The petrol unit supplies 333bhp and 480Nm of torque, ensuring a 0-60mph time of no more than six seconds. Engines pair with either a seven-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission.
The top speed of the coupé is electronically limited to 155mph with the V6 engine. For the strongest fuel economy, pick the 177bhp diesel engine and benefit from up to 57.7mpg combined. Fuel is saved during idling and at a standstill with the Eco start/stop function at both equipment levels.
Safety and technology
Protective features make up a reassuringly large section of the coupé's standard equipment list. They begin across the exterior, with Active Park Assist and crash sensors. The adaptive braking system incorporates Hill Start Assist and a grippy hold function, and the comprehensive dual-stage airbags include one at the driver's knee.
The COMAND Online system is integrated with the CLS Coupé at all trim levels. It brings together internet connectivity with multimedia, navigation, music and communication. The internet can be accessed through a compatible mobile device while the car is parked. All menus and functions are shown on an eight-inch colour display, and Mercedes-Benz apps are available.
