Deeply Disappointed and Emotionally Drained 😞 I purchased a brand-new Mercedes GLC Coupe from this dealership in June 2025, expecting a seamless and premium experience. Unfortunately, the reality has been deeply disappointing. From day one, the vehicle had visible scratches, a recurring noise from the boot, and an unexplained “severe collision†warning recorded in the Mercedes Me app — dated the night before I received the car. Despite multiple visits to the dealership and repeated assurances, the boot noise persisted and only recently was acknowledged after I insisted on a joint test drive with the service team. The car has spent more time at the dealership than with me. Throughout this process, the level of empathy and responsibility from the dealership has been shockingly poor. The head of dealership dismissed the emotional stress this situation caused me, despite me having paid over £70,000 for what was supposed to be a brand-new, fault-free vehicle. Now, while I await a formal resolution from Mercedes-Benz Finance and Customer Service — having raised a rejection of the vehicle — the dealership has already taken back the courtesy car. This has left me completely without transport, yet I am still paying monthly finance and insurance for a car that has been in the dealership’s possession for weeks due to unresolved faults. The situation feels deeply unfair and has caused me significant inconvenience. As a woman navigating this alone, I’ve felt ignored, overwhelmed, and exhausted. What I expected to be a joyful experience has turned into a drawn out, emotionally draining ordeal with little regard shown for fairness or after-sales responsibility. I remain hopeful that Mercedes-Benz Finance, Customer Services, or even the dealership will come to their senses and treat me with fairness and integrity. I will update this review once I receive a formal resolution. Update: After Lookers Stourbridge publicly replied to my review asking me to send details to their resolution team, I emailed them twice (over a week ago). To date, I have not even received an acknowledgement. This shows that while they respond publicly for appearance, in reality, they have not engaged with me or attempted to resolve my case. I have now had to escalate this to Mercedes-Benz UK and the Motor Ombudsman.
Absolutely chuffed with my new car sorted out by Gordon Fraser, love it more than I expected. Really appreciate everything Gordon did to make this possible. Definitely my go to salesman for future purchases.
Very disappointing indeed. My wife has been getting her Kia serviced and MOTd here since purchase (7 yrs now) and every year they've serviced first, spotted any possible MOT failures, advised us, put them right and sailed through the MOT as a result. Not this time. 6 hrs after dropping the car off we had to ring 4 times before speaking to anyone on progress to be told it had failed the MOT with a tyre excessively worn. No proactive call before to advise, or call after for next steps, we had to chase. Ultimately it was all resolved but the time it took to sort and the lack of any apparent.....care by them was not what we had come to expect or pay for. There was no real customer service when the car was collected and no questions on if a new service plan was needed or available. Just felt like they didn't really care and just wanted us out. Very disappointing!!
Dealt with Shane Higgins from first visit to my last. I have to say Shane is a true asset to the company. Professional, friendly, polite and over all a pleasure to deal with. Drove away in my new Qashqai on Thursday.
