The Audi SQ8 with 435PS and 900Nm of torque is powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine, the most powerful on the European market, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds. A sound actuator in the exhaust system amplifies the engine sound and can be adjusted by the driver. To ensure strong power delivery at all times, an electrically powered compressor (EPC) assists the turbochargers. The driving force behind this EPC is the 48-volt main onboard electrical system, which also assists the mild hybrid system (MHEV). When you lift your foot off the accelerator at speeds between 34mph and 99mph the Audi SQ8 will either recuperate, travel with the engine at idle or coast with the engine deactivated for up to 40 seconds.
The exterior of the Audi SQ8 has taut and muscular surfaces along with the octagonal singleframe grille situated between HD Matrix LED headlights, quattro blisters above the wheels and striking underbody protection which all give the car a strong presence on the road. The Vorsprung version is even more striking with a black styling package that accentuates the look of the model.
With a three-meter wheelbase, the Audi SQ8 offers a lot of space inside. As standard, you'll find Super sport seats with integrated head restraints and pronounced side bolsters. Upgrade to the Vorsprung trim and you can also enjoy climate control and massage functions. Two large touchscreens with haptic and acoustic feedback are the main operating elements and control infotainment, navigation, heating and air-con, convenience functions and text input. In addition to this, the Audi SQ8 also has virtual cockpit which allows the driver to switch between two views.
