Our people are our strength. We believe in empowering employees, creating a safe environment and providing the right ‘tools’ to do the right thing.
How poignant our beliefs became on Friday 5th March when a member of our Health & Safety Team received a telephone call from Management at our Middlesbrough Ford site, advising an employee had a heart attack.
A PDI Technician performed CPR on the employee and used the defibrillator until Paramedics arrived on site. The Paramedics revealed that due to the quick action in providing immediate CPR and use of the defibrillator it saved this employee’s life!
This event demonstrates how vital it is we have thoroughly trained First Aiders on site and how we must ensure any lifesaving equipment is always available and in good working order.
The Executive Committee express their deepest thanks to the PDI Technician for their quick actions and bravery in saving their colleagues life, showing the essence of our beliefs.
We wish a speedy recovery to our employee who was taken ill, and we look forward to welcoming them back once they’re fit and healthy.
We are proud daily of our employees, and it’s times like these which show how truly exceptional they are.
