Lookers recognised as Industry Leaders at Prestigious Awards

We are proud to announce that Lookers has won two of the motor industry’s most prestigious awards at the 2016 Motor Trader Awards.

Last night over 1,200 guests attended the 2016 Motor Trader Awards to witness Andy Bruce win ‘CEO of the Year’ and Lookers win ‘Dealer Group of the Year’ at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The Dealer Group of the Year Award recognises the motor dealer who has been most successful in growing sales and profitability in four or more sites during the past year. The win is made all of the remarkable by the fact that our friends and colleagues at Benfield Motor Group won the same award in 2015. The back to back wins are a testament to the hard work and dedication of each and every one of the 8,500 people employed across the group.

The night was made even more special when Andy Bruce picked up the coveted CEO of the Year Award. The distinguished panel of judge’s recognised Andy’s innovative and strategic vision, which has seen Lookers grow continuously over the last 7 years to become a business with an annual turnover of almost £4bn and sees our customers drive away over 180,000 new and used vehicles each year.

Under Andy’s leadership, Lookers has continued with acquisitions, investments in state-of the-art facilities and embraced the latest industry technology while at the same time implementing best practice such as reducing our energy consumption by £2m a year.

Andy said: “These awards are dedicated to the fantastic team that we have here at Lookers. Since becoming CEO in 2014 I have been proud and privileged to be working alongside such an amazing group of people. We should all take a moment to celebrate this achievement. From our call centre people right through to our dealership technicians, everyone should be proud of the contribution they have made to these awards.
