Lookers are proud to be the official sponsor of the Lookers National Universities' Lead and Speed Climbing Championships 2023
Taken place on the 11th of March, the Lookers National Universities' Lead and Speed Climbing Championships, was organised by Elliot Payne and Laure Renault. The event was a huge success, with climbers from universities all around the UK competing and raising money for Climbers Against Cancer.
The Lookers National Universities' Lead and Speed Climbing Championships brought climbers of all skills and backgrounds together to showcase the strength and talent of university climbers around the country. Lookers is honoured to be a part of an event that recognised the abilities and accomplishments of young climbers.
As a company, we are passionate about supporting and encouraging young people to reach their goals and the climbing competition offered an excellent opportunity for young climbers to exhibit their abilities, and we are proud to have contributed to its success.
RESULTS
The University of Cambridge took first place in the main event, followed by the University of Warwick in second place and volunteer watching the event in third place.
The University of Warwick won the speed event, with the University of Cambridge coming in second and the University of Strathclyde coming in third.
A huge congratulation to all the climbers from the day - and to Elliot and Laure for putting it altogether and creating a successful event that will last for years to come.
