Late in 2016, the first all-new Ford GT road car rolled off the production line, capping a year that saw Ford celebrate a winning return to Le Mans with the Ford GT race car, 50 years after a 1-2-3 victory at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours. In 2017 the team returned to Le Mans and took the runner up spot. In 2018 four Ford GT race cars will compete, aiming to take a second victory at Le Mans.
Produced at a new low-volume production facility at Multimatic in Markham, Ontario, the new Ford GT road car is the most advanced, but also most exclusive Ford product ever, and will be limited to volumes of no more than 250 a year, globally.
