Lookers Kia Stockport is investing in local sport and strengthening its role in the community by becoming a sponsor of Stockport County F.C.
Lookers will become a recognisable name at Edgeley Park, where the club plays its home games, and will feature on boards and the club’s media bus, as well as the match day programme.
Kia Stockport is also offering season ticket holders special offers if they come into the dealership with match day programmes or their season tickets.
The club, which is also known to its fans as ‘The Hatters’, currently play in the National League North, which is the sixth tier of the English Football League system and they have ambitious plans in place for a return to the Football League by 2020, including the acquisition and development of a permanent training ground.
Michael Pollitt, General Manager at Lookers Kia Stockport, said: “We are very excited to be sponsoring such a historic and well supported club like Stockport County. A number of our team members are big fans, so there’s a real buzz around the dealership at the moment. The Hatters are a huge part of this community and we are proud to be supporting the team as they push ahead with their plans for promotion.”
Simon Dawson, Commercial Manager at Stockport County F.C, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Lookers as a sponsor of the club and believe that the backing of such a prominent retailer, both locally and around the country, can only work to strengthen our cause and our plans for a return to the Football League.”
