September is officially Motability Awareness Month at Lookers, so we wanted to take the opportunity to talk to you about the Motability Scheme, the inspirational people who have used Lookers to get from A to B and the specially trained staff who go the extra mile to help eligible customers find the car that suits their needs.
What is the Motability Scheme?
The Motability Scheme is a government-funded scheme which allows motorists with disabilities to lease a new car every three years, and have insurance, road tax and repairs included in the monthly payments.

David's Story
After an unexpected fall, David was told he would never be able to walk again. Now he walks and drives almost every day. The VW Golf GTD he purchased through Lookers and the Motability Scheme gave him plenty of room in the boot for his scooter and hoist with the back seats still up.
Margaret's Story
As a child, Margaret was thrown under a bus which led to her leg being amputated. Recently retired from teaching, Margaret has relied on the Motability Scheme for many years to visit pupils who are not in mainstream school. Through the purchase of a Ford Kuga with Lookers she was able to have easy access and plenty of space.
