The Motability Scheme can seem a bit confusing and may leave you with several questions. You might be wondering if you're eligible, what the scheme includes, and how the payment works. We've created our frequently asked questions to give you the information you need when it comes to the Motability Scheme.

The Motability Scheme is administered by Motability Operations Limited (Registered Company No. 1373876), 6th Floor, 22 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4BQ. The facilities offered are for the hire (bailment) of goods. You will not own the vehicle. The agreement is subject to acceptance and age restrictions may apply. Mileage allowance of 10,000 miles per annum over three or five year terms, depending on your car make or model.
To qualify you must be in receipt of one of the following:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- Enhanced rate mobility part of Adult Disability Payment (Scotland)
- Higher rate mobility component of Child Disability Payment (Scotland)
