Had a slight issue at Edinburgh Audi and I had mentioned it to the staff and it was passed on to will Renton, for something that started off with us feeling unhappy we left with full trust regained and feeling like they have gone above and beyond to resolve it fro us. KIA lookers in Stockport are poor, first I was booked in for a courtesy car to collect when I drop mine off, I’m then told on the day she hasn’t booked one for me, I’m then told I’ll have to take anything they have, to which I then find I cannot even get insured with them due to my age😂. After then sorting with SEAT in Stockport, who I bought the car from, they arrange me a courtesy car with enterprise, all sorted with that. After been told 2 days for the repair we arrive on day 3 no phone call, I ring KIA to ask how long no one from the repair shop is in on a Wednesday or a Thursday apparently, I then ring on day 5 to check what has happened and no answer, so I drive up myself and find my car had been ready for a few days and no one has called. Great service KIA you sure know how to make people buy from other competitors.

Extremely Poor Diagnosis – Fixed It Myself After Paying £219 for Nothing I took my Mercedes hybrid to this dealership for a health check because the hybrid function wasn’t working, and I had a message on the dashboard saying “Auxiliary Battery Malfunction.†I decided not to touch anything and instead brought it to the professionals, expecting a proper diagnostic and solution. After two visits and paying £219 for their “health check,†I was told “We couldn’t find anything wrong†— no faults, no clear explanation, and worst of all, no helpful advice. The staff member literally said to me, “I don’t know what you should do or what to advise you to do.†Completely unacceptable. I ended up replacing the auxiliary battery myself — a basic job. But the hybrid system still didn’t work. Then, using my own logic, I suspected the starter motor might be the cause. I replaced the starter motor myself — and that resolved the problem. The hybrid system began working perfectly again. For reference: the hybrid function relies on the starter motor to re-engage the engine while driving. The electric motor only starts the engine from cold or when stationary. So the problem wasn’t complex — yet Mercedes-Benz failed to identify it despite charging me for a full health check. If I, without diagnostic tools, could figure this out, how did a certified dealership miss it entirely? This isn’t the first time this dealership has failed me. On a previous visit, they convinced me to replace a part they claimed would “100% solve†another issue. I approved the repair, paid a significant amount, and just hours later they called to say the fault was still there. Even worse, they misplaced a relay during the work, which later popped out and left me stranded, with the car refusing to start. In the end, I had to take the car to a local independent garage, who solved that issue far more competently than the dealership ever did. For a premium brand, this level of service is simply not acceptable. I am requesting a full refund of the £219 health check, as the job was clearly not done properly. They missed an obvious mechanical issue, gave me no useful insight, and showed a lack of care and competence throughout the process. I won’t be returning, and I urge other owners to seriously consider alternatives before trusting this dealership with their vehicle.
