Charging your Mii electric at home is likely to become part of your everyday routine, so there are two options for home charging, either via a traditional 3-pin plug or a specially installed wallbox.
A home wallbox is recommended due to the high energy demands and the significantly faster charge time. A 7kW wallbox can charge your Mii electric three times faster than with a three-pin plug. Plus, all home charging wallboxes are eligible for the £500 OLEV EVHS grant!
Rapid chargers are the fastest way to charge an EV vehicle and are often found in motorway services or in locations close to main roads. The Mii electric is equipped with CCS (combined charging system), which supplies high power direct or alternating (DC/AC) to charge a battery to 80% quickly. Mii electric allows for a maximum of up to 40 kW DC charge and will recharge the battery to 80% in 1 hr.
Finding public chargers is easy to do through websites like Zap Map [www.zap-map.com].
^ These figures were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. The Mii Electric is a battery electric vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. There is a new test for fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures (known as WLTP). The electric range shown was achieved using the new test procedure. Figures shown are for comparability purposes. Only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the starting charge of the battery, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. Zero emissions while driving.
*Charge cost is based on the current average electricity unit cost per kWh set by UK Power (£0.143p). Figures are subject to change.
