New Volkswagen Passat GTE

Although the hybrid engine is much quieter don’t be fooled. The Passat GTE can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 7.2 seconds.

Keeping the Passat GTE fully charged is as easy as charging your smartphone. Plug in via a home socket or at a public charging station and the lithium-ion battery will completely charge in around five hours.

Triggering GTE mode allows you to experience the car’s full capabilities. GTE mode provides responsive steering and rapid acceleration, or flip to E-Mode to drive on electric alone.

Interior & Exterior

Elegant signature highlights inside and out create an expressive, graceful design, while ‘Vienna’ leather 2 upholstery, ‘Blue’ ambient lighting, striking ‘Blue’ brake callipers and characteristic ‘C’ signature LED daytime running lights add a sporty, confident touch.

The Passat GTE’s sporty exterior with an aerodynamic silhouette and bold front grille is designed to make a statement. Intelligent LED headlights and impressive 18” Monterrey alloy wheels also come as standard. The new Volkswagen Passat GTE offers a number of exciting features as standard, including parking assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and our intuitive Travel Assist which maintains your lane, speed and distance from the car in front.

The Passat GTE’s interior really delivers. The dashboard has a solid and substantial feel, with broad horizontal lines to enhance the sense of space. The soft-touch finish on the seats further elevates your comfort. Air conditioning is available for the Saloon and Estate models. Engine

With its powerful 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine, the Passat GTE with plug-in hybrid technology puts you on the road to tomorrow. Powered by a turbocharged engine and electric motor, delivering a combined output of 218 PS, it is capable of travelling up to 36 miles 1 (WLTP cycle) on one battery charge. That’s 12 miles further than the previous GTE model, representing an increase of 40%.

Infotainment

Every Volkswagen app can be installed directly into the Passat GTE’s infotainment system. This includes We Connect apps, which give you access to valet servicing and laundry pickup. We Park allows you to pay car park fees in advance.

The Passat GTE comes with fully integrated Wi-Fi so you can use your streaming services and online radio wherever you go.

Safety

Curtain airbags, airbags for driver and front seat passengers are standard across the full Volkswagen Passat range. Door side impact protection and remote central locking also come as standard in all models.
