Lookers Volvo is delighted to announce that Volvo’s impressive list of awards this year has grown even further, with two new accolades in the first ever Car of the Year Awards from carwow – the online consumer car deals and reviews specialist.
Volvo was honoured as Manufacturer of the Year for the transformation of its model range and public perception, while the brand-new V60 estate received the Practicality Award for its striking looks, spacious, cleverly designed interior, and state-of-the-art connectivity and safety features.
The Manufacturer of the Year Award recognises the advances Volvo is making as a brand, not just by bringing exciting new generations of saloons, estate cars and SUVs to the market, but also by demonstrating its commitment to the environment, safety and the application of useful, advanced technology.
Mat Watson, carwow Editorial Director, said: “Volvo has won the Manufacturer of the Year Award because it has quite literally transformed its entire range, and the public perception of its brand, thanks to brilliant and desirable new cars such as the new V60 and XC40.”
Turning to the success of the V60, he added: “The new Volvo V60 is stylish, feels posh inside, and has lots of storage solutions and passenger room. But most importantly of all, it has class-leading boot space. Yes, Volvo is back as the undisputed king of the posh estate car.”
Boyd Dennell, General Manager at Lookers Volvo, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to see Volvo named Manufacturer of the Year by carwow. Volvo’s constant innovation provides our customers with better connectivity, more convenience and unrivalled safety features, while the cars are designed and engineered to be enjoyable to drive and to meet all the priorities of today’s drivers in terms of contemporary style and everyday practicality.
“We are immensely proud of the new V60 and we encourage car buyers in Stockport to come and test drive it to experience its award-winning features for themselves.”
