Ford details upcoming Focus facelift
2nd September 2014
Ford has confirmed details on the new facelifted version of the Focus, due to go on sale during November 2014. The new Ford Focus continues with the six trim levels of its predecessor, and added grades stretch the range to the Studio, Style, Zetec, Zetec S, Titanium and Titanium X models.
The look of the Ford Focus has been given an upgrade, with elongated fog lights alongside slimmed-down headlights and a newly-designed grille. The interior of the vehicle has undergone further development, with the buttons of the centre console replaced entirely by an eight-inch touchscreen. Redesigned controls manage the air conditioning system, and a three-spoke steering wheel has been given multifunctional capabilities.
The latest connectivity software from Ford, SYNC 2, is also an option for the new Focus. This offers motorists a split-screen display, and voice-activated control for features such as the audio system, navigation, and climate control.
The new Focus will further be the first UK model to use Ford's newly-developed 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol EcoBoost engine. A range of petrol and diesel engines will also be available, with petrol engines giving up to 123bhp and the diesel choices up to 113bhp.
