The iconic Audi RS 4 has returned and is now up to 80kg lighter and up to 17% more efficient than the previous generation.
Inspired by the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, massive air inlets with RS honeycomb structure and a wide, flat, single-frame grille flanked by LED lights define the front end of the car. The wheel arches are given added emphasis by the quattro blisters. The wheels are 19-inch forged aluminium, with the option to upgrade to 20-inch.
At the rear of the new Audi RS 4 you'll find an RS-specific diffuser insert, an RS exhaust system with oval tailpipes and an RS roof edge spoiler. The all-new model also benefits from a new optional exterior colour - Nogaro blue pearl effect. This references the first generation of the Audi RS 4 revealed in 1999.
The RS 4 Avant interior has a high level of specification. The Super Sport seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather with pneumatic massage function. The driver can also enjoy features such as RS-specific Virtual Cockpit, Parking system plus and MMI Touch Navigation plus.
Beneath the hood of the Audi RS 4 Avant lies a 2.9 TFSI V6 bi-turbo engine, offering an impressive 450PS and 600Nm of torque. The eight-speed tiptronic gearbox provides more fluid gear shifting and allows for truly rapid acceleration (0-62mph is possible in just 4.1 seconds). The rear sport differential enables torque division between the rear wheels and is standard on UK models.
Sport Edition
Revealed in June 2019, the Audi RS 4 Avant Sport Edition will also join the RS line-up.
The Sport Edition is the only iteration of the RS 4 to hit UK roads in 2019, with only 250 units being built.
It’s powered by the same 2.9-litre V6, but throws in uprated 20-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive dampers and Audi’s sport exhaust as standard.
