The Audi Q3 Sportback is a brand new model to the Q range. This compact crossover is available in Sport, S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung trim lines.
Exterior
The octagonal Singleframe grille on the front of the Q3 Sportback is a real statement feature flanked by slim, wedge-shaped headlights with LED technology. The low roof and flat, sloping D pillars make this model appear much longer than the standard Q3, however, the difference is only 16mm. The Sportback model also has a 49mm lower roof curvature and an elegant shoulder line that runs lower than the Q3 which makes it look more muscular. 18" alloy wheels and dynamic rear indicators feature as standard with an upgrade to Matrix LED headlights available.
Interior
The sophisticated cabin houses a wide range of new technology, including a reductive two-level instrument panel. Various functions are displayed on the MMI touch display and the Audi virtual cockpit with its 10.25-inch screen in the instrument binnacle, which is also standard.
Supportive front sport seats are upholstered in either cloth in Sport models, a combination of cloth and leather in the S line and full leather in Edition 1 and Vorsprung. These seats are also electrically adjustable and heated in the Edition 1 and Vorsprung trim. The rear seats can be moved 130mm and their inclination can be adjusted in seven stages. When in the upright position the luggage compartment can accommodate 530 litres, but when they are folded down this increases to 1400 litres.
Engine and suspension
A TFSI and TDI option are available from launch. The 2.0 TFSI in the Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI quattro is the most powerful option, offering 230 PS. In comparison, the 2.0 TDI provides 150 PS. Sport suspension comes as standard on Sport, S line and Edition 1 models giving the perfect balance between absorbency and great handling. The Vorsprung model improves on this further with the addition of electronically controlled adaptive dampers which can be adjusted via Audi drive select. For offroad use, an additional offroad mode is available in the drive select system, while the standard hill descent control can help maintain speed on inclines off the beaten track.
Driver assistance
The Audi Q3 Sportback also comes with a wide range of assistance systems to keep you safe on the road. Audi pre sense basic, Audi pre sense front, lane departure warning and Audi Side Assist all feature as standard.
In the Vorsprung version, a 360-degree camera shows the area immediately around the vehicle to assist with manoeuvering and Park Assist automatically steers into and out of parking spaces.
