This special edition is the fastest R8 yet thanks to motorsport-proven enhancements that increase downforce and pare back weight. The aero kit on the car is made exclusively from CFRP and features large fixed rear wing and diffuser with red elements, side skirts with the Audi Sport logo, aerodynamic elements behind the rear wheel arches to channel airflow, more pronounced air inlets at the front and a deep splitter and sculpted canards that borrow their looks from the first generation Audi R8 GT.
All of these elements result in an increase in downforce so that at 205mph it generates 250kg of downforce, 100kg more than the standard Audi R8 V10 plus. At 93mph the aero kit doubles downforce to an astonishing 520kg.
Weight is saved with the 20" wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, with 245/30 on the front and 305/30 on the rear, and ceramic brake discs that work with specially enhanced brake pads for effective stopping power. A lightweight three-way coilover suspension is fitted for full adjustability.
