Despite a lot of difficulty scheduling a test drive over the phone (branch hung up multiple times) and email. We had a good intro from the receptionist when we arrived in person... After that everything was downhill. Poor customer service from start to finish. Having booked to see one of two specific fpaces which only had 40hp difference, the salesman wasted an hour of our time saying that we could only test drive the car if we knew what colour we wanted. Having failed to shift blame from himself to us, the customer, it became clear the car wasnt ready for test drive despite booking in advance and travelling 1h30 to the dealership. When finally in the car, it had multiple warning lights on and the salesman had equally poor knowledge of the vehicle to match. He only allowed us to test drive the car for 5 minutes on the road back to the dealership. All in all a waste of time and effort. If this is how they treat a new lead considering a switch from Mercedes to JLR, I wouldn't want to find out what its like to be held captive to them servicing a car especially as they transition to all electric. By contrast the team at Group 1 were leagues more professional, they treated you as a customer, respected your time, and did not use the JLR brand to project their own delusions of grandeur. Avoid this Lookers dealership, and perhaps reconsider JLR if you want anything exceptional. Besides a headache.
This is the second time my car has gone in for warranty work relating to dodgy electronics for the TPM systems and the air con. I expected it to be there for a number of days as these are faulty and need replacing - but no after a day they said it was ready as all they had done is reset the electronics not replaced - so far the TPM has t gone wrong - but it will as hasn’t been right since I got the car (new). The air con is pumping out hot air even when set in low mode - oh and I had to take the car to the garage and get it back as even though Jaguar is supposed to be a premium brand they don’t pick up customer cars
After spending many weeks looking for my next vehicle purchase I decided to opt for a jaguar F-Pace: I had a good look round my local area then further afield. I was eventually found a very competitively priced F-Pace at lookers West London. I decided to finance the purchase myself via my personal bank. I conducted some research on the lookers site that didn’t specifically indicate they didn’t accept self financed PCP. So keen to not loose out on this vehicle is placed a reservation fee. I then followed up by contacting lookers to discuss the vehicle. Yes, maybe I should’ve approached it the other way round! When speaking to a sales Rep. I established I wouldn’t be able to finance in the way I intended so the Rep agreed to initiate the return of my money. Over the next 10 days nothing materialised. In that time I’d emailed the specific email regarding refunds and called twice. I was assured both times the manager would call me back. Of course that never happened. On the third attempt I managed to speak to the manager who confirmed he’d initiated the refund. So we’re now at 6-7 days (working days) and still no refund! So what does the lookers sales page say about reservation fees? After 3 days if the purchase isn’t followed through the money would be returned. Taking in to account an additional 5 days to refund that’s 8 days. Maybe chuck in a couple of weekend days. Still I’m now at a total of 19 days and still no refund. So as a warning to all, don’t reserve a car at West London lookers and expect to get your money back in 3 days or 8. They are unhelpful, are clearly sales orientated and lack the vision that poor treatment in cases like this lead to negativity and the strong likelihood that an individual will never consider them as a reputable company to do business with again. A very very poor experience.
Hi. I was not impressed that I booked the appointment on the understanding it would take 1 1/2 hours whilst I waited. 10 minutes short of 3 hours I left When questioned I was told the service physically takes 1 1/2 hours. That's fine but I was told your technician was waiting for a free ramp. Surely a booked in appointment time should be honoured. Again no one told me I had to keep asking.
