What is Motability?
The Motability Car Scheme is a government-funded scheme that allows motorists with disabilities to lease a new car every three years. The Scheme includes insurance, road tax and repairs in monthly payments. It aims to help anyone with a disability become more mobile.
Lookers Volkswagen is pleased to support the Motability Scheme and offer a range of vehicles to meet disabled motorists' requirements. We work hard to help disabled motorists and their families become more mobile and enjoy the independence of owning a car and have supported over a 1000 customers.
How the Motability Scheme works?
Exchange your qualifying mobility allowance for a brand-new car with options, including a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) if required so that you can enjoy more freedom and independence.
What you'll get with the Motability Scheme
A brand new vehicle for you to drive, which can be adapted if you need it. A complete package, including insurance, servicing and breakdown cover.
-
Servicing and MOT
Regular services and routine repairs to keep your vehicle running perfectly.
-
Insurance cover
You can add up to three named drivers and can change these at any time.
-
Breakdown cover
You receive RAC breakdown cover to travel with peace of mind.
During 2023 eligible customers will also receive a one-off payment called the New Vehicle Payment of £750 when you get your new car on the Motability Scheme. The great news is you can now use this towards the cost of your Advance Payment when you order your new car or have this paid in full to you after you get your new vehicle.
If you’re leasing your first fully electric car on the Motability Scheme, they will support you with charging your car, arrange and cover the cost of a home chargepoint and a standard installation*.
