Not a great experience with Gatwick Mercedes Lookers service centre. I had the booked the Service A with them and they identified that the rubber on the shaft attached to back side of the tyre was cut and had to be replaced. Although this was identified in the health checkup itself, no communication came from the centre. I had to call up to get the details and only late in the evening i got the call saying that the MOT has failed. Also, though I had taken Mercedes warranty, I was asked to pay because apparently the shaft is covered but not the rubber on top of it and cherry on top, that they cant change the rubber and will have to replace the whole shaft for which I would have to bear the whole cost. Now, I would expect a quick resolution and I went to the store to get the details and to confirm to get it repaired on my expenses, i was told that they would order it and will get it only by Monday as we had gone to check with them on Friday. We had no choice but to leave the car with them for 2 days as I wouldnt be able to drive the car anyways. Come Monday and no update/call from them about what happened so I called & asked them for update and response I got was there was no update and hence we didnt call. When I enforced an update I was told that the parts have arrived but will take another day and can only get the car return by Tuesday. Finally got the car back on Tuesday and i was given an option to take their service care plan(not very effecitive for me as the amount is same as the service cost but atleast i could split the cost). Come tuesday, all good collected the car and went home.By the way, the car was washed without any proper wiping just water sprayed over(you'ld expect a good cleanup due to the service charges taken for servicing). Anyways, 2 days later, I got a call suggesting that since I have taken a service care plan, they were checking the details of servicing done and identified that they also needed to change the Spark plugs & oil filters which they have missed and need to do now. And they being very kind offered 50% discount because they missed to do it. I asked them that why wasnt this picked up during servicing and only when i went for the service care plan to which they only apologised and said we can only give you 50% discount. I had to agree to it also because i didnt want to pay extra £300 in next servicing next year. So asked them to book the appointment to which i was told it has been booked by them. On the day of appointment(26-Jun) I called them to confirm the appointment and I was then told that I dont have any appointment booked. I asked them to connect to the manager and they said he is busy on other call and will call back shortly but still I am waiting for that call.
