Also, a good time to buy a used car is often in the run-up to the registration plate changes. Used car dealers often look to clear out stock not featuring the latest number plates, in expectation of an increase in demand for the new registration plate, as well as delivery of cars newly registered, to feature the latest registration plate. With limited space on the forecourt, used car dealers often take a lower price to clear some real estate. Thus, August and February can be the best time to buy a second-hand car.
